your position.

POSITION SIZE IN LOTS

Risk budget ÷ (stop pips × pip value per lot + fee per lot)

100 ÷ (25 × 10 + 0) = 0.40 lots
Pip size: 0.0001 for most FX pairs; 0.01 for JPY pairs. Pip value is converted into your account currency.
A LITTLE CLARITY

Before you place the trade.

Why is my result rounded down?

Brokers accept specific lot increments. Rounding down keeps the modeled stop-loss and fees within the budget you selected. If the result is below one increment, no position fits that budget.

Does leverage change the position size?

This calculator sizes by stop-loss risk. Leverage affects the margin needed to open the position, which you must check separately with your broker.

Are these live exchange rates?

No. Same-currency calculations need no exchange rate. For other currencies, enter the current quote-to-account conversion rate yourself. Updating it changes the pip value and position size.

Can I use this for gold or Bitcoin?

This prototype supports the listed forex pairs only. Metals and crypto need broker-specific contract and tick settings; those belong in a separate instrument mode.
