Check the units, inputs, and assumptions before using a result.
METHOD
Change % = (ending ÷ starting − 1) × 100. After a loss, recovery % = (starting ÷ ending − 1) × 100.
Assumes no deposits or withdrawals between the two balances. This is not a cash-flow-adjusted performance measure.A LITTLE CLARITY
Before you use the result.
Why does a 50% loss need a 100% gain?
The recovery starts from a smaller balance. If 10,000 falls to 5,000, gaining 5,000 means a 100% increase from the remaining balance.
Is this connected to live market data?
No. Prices and conversion rates are manually entered. The session clock uses your device time and standard local-time schedules.
